How do healthcare providers test the Amissa app before inviting patients?

Updated yesterday

Healthcare providers can test the Amissa app before inviting patients to become familiar with the experience, review workflows, and confirm everything is set up correctly.

1. Create a test patient account with a different email

Use a separate email address that is not the same email associated with your organizational account (ie, not the email used to log in to the Amissa platform).

2. Send a test invitation

Invite your test account using the same process you would use for patients (for example, via your practice invite code or onboarding flow).

3. Download and sign in to the app

Install the Amissa app on a supported device and sign in using your test account credentials.

4. Explore key features

We recommend testing the following:

  • Completing onboarding

  • Logging symptoms

  • Completing the Menopause Rating Scale (MRS)

  • Viewing symptom reports

  • Connecting a wearable device (if applicable)

5. Verify data visibility

Confirm that information entered in the app appears correctly in the provider dashboard or reports.

Best practices

  • Clearly label all test accounts to avoid confusion with real patients.

  • Do not enter real patient health information during testing.

  • Remove or deactivate test accounts once testing is complete.
