Can patients control the sharing of their data?

Learn how patients manage who can view their data and revoke sharing at any time.

Updated over a week ago

Yes. Patients have full control over how their data is shared in Amissa.

Helpful Details:
Patients can decide whether to share their information with clinicians, caregivers, or researchers. Within the app, sharing preferences can be adjusted at any time. This includes choosing what type of data is shared (such as symptoms, labs, or wearable metrics) and with whom. All sharing is encrypted and compliant with HIPAA and other privacy regulations, ensuring that patients stay in control of their health information.

Next Steps / Where to Go:
Patients can review and update their sharing settings directly in the app under the privacy or account settings menu. If you need help managing these options, the Amissa support team is available through the Help Center.
