How to connect your wearable data to Amissa
Amissa reads data from Apple Health on your iPhone. Connect your device to Apple Health first, then confirm permissions for Amissa.
Before you start
Update iOS, your device app, and Amissa to the latest versions.
Open the Health app on your iPhone and sign in if prompted.
Turn on Amissa permissions in Apple Health
Open the Health app on your iPhone.
Tap your profile picture in the top right.
Tap Apps.
Tap Amissa.
Turn on the data types you want Amissa to read, for example activity, heart rate, sleep, temperature, and others.
Apple Watch
Pair Apple Watch with your iPhone in the Watch app.
Open the Health app.
Tap your profile, then Devices, then your Apple Watch.
Make sure the health categories you want are enabled for Apple Watch.
Open Amissa and confirm data appears after your next sync.
Oura Ring
Install the Oura app and complete setup.
In the Oura app, open Settings and turn on Apple Health sharing. Allow Oura to write data to Health.
In the Health app, check Oura under Apps to confirm the categories you want are enabled.
Open Amissa to confirm data appears.
Garmin
Install Garmin Connect and complete device setup.
In Garmin Connect, open Settings and turn on Apple Health sharing. Allow Garmin to write the categories you want.
In the Health app, check Garmin Connect under Apps and confirm permissions.
Open Amissa to confirm data appears.
Fitbit (using a third-party sync app)
Most newer Fitbit devices can work with Amissa, but because Fitbit doesn’t yet write directly into Apple Health, you’ll need to use a paid third-party sync app.
Steps
Install the Fitbit app and complete device setup.
Download and install a third-party sync app (for example Power Sync for Fitbit to Health or Sync Solver).
Open the sync app and follow its instructions to connect your Fitbit account.
Allow the sync app to write Fitbit data into Apple Health. Choose the categories you want to share (such as steps, heart rate, sleep, activity).
In the Health app, check that the sync app is listed under Apps and that permissions are turned on for the categories you want Amissa to read.
Open Amissa and confirm that your Fitbit data appears on your dashboard.
Notes
Sync timing may be slower than devices with direct HealthKit integration (such as Apple Watch, Oura Ring, or Garmin).
Fitbit has announced that its app will soon support direct Apple Health integration. Amissa will evaluate and update guidance when that becomes available.
Verify data is syncing in Amissa
Open Amissa.
Go to Settings or Data connections and confirm Apple Health is connected.
Check your dashboard for recent entries. Some sources update within minutes. Fitbit through a sync service can take longer.
Troubleshooting
In the Health app, check Apps and confirm both your device app and Amissa have permission to write or read the categories you expect.
Open your device app and force a manual sync.
Make sure the data is visible inside the Health app. If Health does not show the data, Amissa cannot import it.
Restart your iPhone, then reopen Amissa.
If data still does not appear, recheck each permission step above and try toggling the category off then on in Health.
